Both these pieces were created by first etching the design into the rock, accenting with transparent acrylic washes, then more etching.
Puma ~ Also called cougar and mountain lion, cornivore of North and South America with thick fur that ranges from reddish-brown in tropical forms to bluish-gray in northern forms. The puma is found from British Colombia to Patagonia. It's body can be up to 1.95m (6.4 feet) not including it's long tail. The female bears two to four young in a litter.
Because ranchers suspect them of killing cattle, the cougar has been exterminated or is endagered in many areas.
